Polar Express Day, Wednesday Dec. 14th:
Our classes will be watching The Polar Express! Your child may wear pajamas and bring a stuffed animal. Please provide an extra snack for your child to eat during the movie.
Holiday Party Information:
Parents are welcome to attend our Holiday Party on Friday, December 16th from 9:00-10:00.
Please RSVP on the Winter Party RSVP Form if you plan to attend. If you plan to check your child out early, we ask that you please wait until 9:30 so your child can be counted as present for the day. Siblings from other grade levels will not be able to attend the party. Kindergarten Lost and Found:
We have several jackets, sweaters, and water bottles that have been left in our Kinder Quad. We will have them laid out on the day of the party so please be sure to take a look if your child is missing any of these things.
Book Bags:
Please make sure to return all the books from your child's book bag. These books must be sent back to school by Monday.

Holiday Party:
RSVP will close on Wednesday, Dec. 14.
Parents may still attend if you didn’t RSVP, but the form will close on the 14th so the office has time to clear all the guests.
Cold Weather Guidelines
With the cooler weather, please make sure you child comes to school with a jacket labeled with their name.

Byron Nelson High School - 2775 Bobcat Blvd, Trophy Club, TX 76262
Students and teachers will ride buses to and from Byron Nelson High School
Depart from Lance @ 11:00am
Depart Byron Nelson @ 1:30pm (arriving back at Lance @ approx. 2:15 pm)
Important Information
Please return your child’s permission slip by Friday, December 2nd so that they may ride the bus.
This is a no-cost field trip paid by the district.
If possible, please have your child wear a red shirt.
We will eat lunch at Lance before we depart. Students may bring their lunch from home or get lunch from the cafeteria like a normal day. Students will have their snack in the afternoon when we come back.
Unfortunately, we are unable to have chaperones on this field trip. We hope to have chaperone opportunities on our field trip in the spring!

What are we learning?
Phonics - I can use my word-part powers to write a letter.
Reading - I can grow as a reader.
Math- I will show all have learned in Module 3-6 on my district test.
Writing - I can get my writing ready to publish by using rules.
Science - I can identify and describe sound energy.
Social Studies - I can describe and explain the similarities and differences of winter holiday celebrations.
