Please have your child wear to school:
tennis shoes or closed toed water shoes (no crocs or sandals)
apply sunscreen at home (students may bring extra, but teachers are not allowed to apply sunscreen for kids)
clothes that can get wet (swimsuits are okay under clothes). Please have your child wear to school the clothes you want them to do the field day stations in. Students who purchased a field day shirt, will be given that shirt on Friday morning.
Your child will need:
sack lunch
Fill out this form if your child will need a sack lunch from the cafeteria: Kindergarten Sack Lunch
change of clothes
towel
disposable water bottle with first and last name clearly marked
an extra snack (packed separately from lunch)
hat and sunglasses (optional- your child will be responsible for carrying these)
We encourage your child to bring either a drawstring bag or plastic grocery bag (labeled with name) to carry with them throughout the day.

Kindergarten will be celebrating finishing kindergarten with a formal award ceremony! The award ceremony will be on Thursday, May 25th at 8:30am
Students have been working with our music teacher Mrs. Gentry on a special, surprise performance for families. Please make sure your child wears flat shoes to ensure their safety on the risers.
After the ceremony and performance, kindergarten will go back to the classrooms to start our celebration!

A Bug's Life Movie:
To support our learning about insects in science, we will be watching "A Bug's Life" the last week of school. We will watch the movie over the course of these two days and students will be given the opportunity to write about their learning. If you have any questions or if you would prefer your child not view the movie, please let us know.
Please pack your child an extra snack to enjoy while we watch the movie!
Book Bags:
Please make sure all the books are back in your child's book bag. These books belong to the school and are teachers' personal books. Thank you!
Library Books:
Your child's teacher will be reaching out to you if your child still has any library books checked out. If the book is lost/damaged, you will have to pay to replace it.
What are we learning?
Phonics - I can celebrate my learning by sharing all that I know about letters and sounds.
Reading - I can read to learn about animals.
Writing - I can write what I have learned about animals by writing different types of writing.
Science - I can use my senses to observe and identify rocks and their different physical characteristics.
Math - I can show all I have learned on my math district test.
Social Studies - I can identify historical figure Jose Navarro.
