Rube Goldberg Machines:
In a few weeks, we will be studying how things move and we will be making Rube Goldberg machines. Not sure what a Rube Goldberg machine is? See the link for an example- http://bit.ly/RGDONATIONS.
We are looking for a variety of supplies to make our machines. In order to make this project successful, we need help gathering supplies. Please see the list below of possible items you could donate to the class. Items will be a donation to the kindergarten curriculum and will not be returned.

Plastic/foam/wood pieces that can be turned into ramps

These glasses have been found throughout the school. They are being held at the front office.
What are we learning?
Reading - I can use my super powers, check my reading, and use letter-sound knowledge to help me read.
Phonics - I can use word parts to write new words.
Math - I can identify and sort 3D objects.
Writing - I can add labels to my how to writing using our language of the discipline.
Science - I can solve problems by engineering a design process.
Social Studies - I can explain how Martin Luther King Jr. contributed to American history.
Upcoming Dates:
January 16th: Martin Luther King Day, No school
February 14th - Valentine's Party (more information coming)
February 20th - Student Holiday, no school
