We will be collecting all the books from your child's book bag. Please make sure to pack the books before we leave for the break.

Students will be able to build their own stuffed animal. Please fill out the form from your child's folder if you would like them to participate.
Holiday Party:
RSVP will close on Wednesday, Dec. 14.
Parents may still attend if you didn’t RSVP, but the form will close on the 14th so the office has time to clear all the guests.
Cold Weather Guidelines
With the cooler weather, please make sure you child comes to school with a jacket labeled with their name.

Students and teachers will ride buses to and from Byron Nelson High School
Depart from Lance @ 11:00am
Depart Byron Nelson @ 1:30pm (arriving back at Lance @ approx. 2:15 pm)
Important Information
Please return your child’s permission slip by Friday, December 2nd so that they may ride the bus.
This is a no-cost field trip paid by the district.
If possible, please have your child wear a red shirt.
We will eat lunch at Lance before we depart. Students may bring their lunch from home or get lunch from the cafeteria like a normal day. Students will have their snack in the afternoon when we come back.
Unfortunately, we are unable to have chaperones on this field trip. We hope to have chaperone opportunities on our field trip in the spring!

What are we learning?
Phonics - I can use letter sounds to help write stories
Reading - I can use partner reading to learn more about books and identify goals for my reading.
Math - I can compare the weight of objects and explain which item is heavier on a pan balance.
Writing - I can make my true story fun to read using multiple perspectives.
Science - I can identify and describe light energy
Social Studies - I can describe and explain the similarities and differences of winter holiday celebrations.
