World Languages
World Language Overview
Two years (EOD format) of World Language at middle school is equivalent of 1 year of World Language at NHS. (Note: must be the same World Language) Students completing the World Language courses at the middle school level with a “B” or better will be prepared to continue their studies at Neenah High School without having to repeat a Level 1.
Prerequisites and Advancing in World Languages:
If a student receives an 80% or higher, he/she may not repeat the course.
If a student receives below a 75%, he/she must repeat the course if they want to go on to the next level.
For students that receive between a 75% and 80%, they will receive a case by case recommendation from the department.

Spanish for Middle School Heritage Learners 32300 B1/B2
Please note that two years of a single world language is strongly advised, and is required by some universities. Please be advised that world languages taken prior to high school, do not appear on high school transcripts and these courses are not accepted by college admissions committees. In order to meet the college admissions requirement, students who complete one year of a World Language in middle school should either enroll in level 2, at Neenah High School or repeat level 1 (with department chairperson approval) during the student's 9th grade year.
