Hands-on Manufacturing 

Course ContentThis course is designed to offer students an opportunity to investigate various manufacturing technologies and career pathways.  Students will learn about and use tools, processes, and methods from the manufacturing industry. Portions of the class will use the middle school manufacturing shop space to construct various take-home projects.  This course will consist of instructional units which can include topics such as measurement, tool use, safety, STEM career exploration, plastic-, metal-, and wood technologies.  STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) skills and concepts will be applied throughout the course.

**Student Cost: $10 for lab activities

Open to: Grade 7 & 8

Length:  1 semester/every other day
