Automation & Robotics 

Course Content: Students learn how to design and build mechanisms that aid in automation. Students also study and practice programming in order to use sensors to control motors that will power the mechanisms, as well as designing and building multiple design challenges. 

Course Activities: Activities may range from designing and building simple pull toys & Mars Challenges to more complex systems such as an automated spinning sign, tollbooth, traffic lights, and a drag racer.

Technology Integration:  RobotC Programming, VEX Robotics Equipment along with the use of student Chromebooks on a daily basis.

Open to: Grades 7 & 8

Length:  1 semester/every other day
