FLIGHT & SPACE

Course Content: This course propels students’ learning into the fundamentals of air and space flight. Students become engineers as they design, prototype, and test models to learn about aerodynamics, aeronautics, mission planning, and the requirements for aerospace travel and life in space. Students will investigate the science behind the flight of various aircraft, drones, and rockets through the design of airfoils and propulsion systems. Students will solve aviation and space challenges and plan a mission to Mars.

**Student Cost: $5 for lab activities

Open to: Grades 7 & 8

Length: 1 semester/every other day
