Family/Career Skills
Open to: Grades 7 & 8
Length: 1 semester/every other day
This course will promote personal growth and leadership development through the study of the areas in Family and Consumer Science. This student-centered course will explore the many careers associated in the Family and Consumer Science area that empower the individual, family and community. Students will strengthen critical thinking, cooperation and decision-making skills in this discussion and project-based course. Topics may include families and relationships, child development, financial literacy, interior design, sewing, health issues, and food service (cooking). If you enjoy a variety of hands-on activities, then this is the class for you!
