I am seeking a Masters degree in Educational Technology to expand my knowledge of using technology in the classroom. I have been a first grade teacher for two years and I feel as though I am doing an injustice to my students by not having the greatest knowledge possible of the use of technology in our classroom. I use technology a lot and so do my students but I would like to expand that knowledge. I would also like to eventually expand my horizons and teach other teachers how to use technology.
I have quite a bit of experience in technology from the different programs used in college, (I.e BBLearn, Canvas, and Google Classroom.) I have experience in the classroom using Google Classroom, Canvas, Clever, and multiple different educational sites for students. I have taught classes at my school to other teachers on how to incorporate technology into the classroom.
I bring a few strengths to the classroom with my previous knowledge of technology. I have been exposed to many different platforms and resources that I frequently use. I also have a great set of problem solving skills that I use regularly to find solutions to problems that may arrive in the use of technology.
From this program, I am expecting to learn about the use of technology in the classroom and how to enrich technology into our students lives. Our world is only going towards the use of technology and I want to help expose technology in the most enriching way to students.
A successful online environment includes engaging and enriching lessons that help the students retain quality information. This degree is a perfect degree to get online because it only involves technology. This is a great and resourceful way to learn information.
