Assignment: Design Document
I selected the design document that my group created to demonstrate how we were able to collaborate with educators. During the design document assignment, we had to communicate with another group to decide what they would like their lesson plan to be focused on. Once we determined their content, we had to create a design document that focused on creating a learning experience that was actively engaging, deepen their knowledge of the content, and give students the ability to express what they learned. This assignment hit all the key components necessary in standard 4a.
Standard 5. Professional Learning Facilitator. Coaches plan, provide and evaluate the impact of professional learning for educators and leaders to use technology to advance teaching and learning.
Assignment: SEL - Self Awareness Presentation
I selected the SEL-Self Awareness Presentation as the assignment that focused on standard 5. As a group, we planned, provided, and evaluated a professional development unit that focused on social-emotional learning. We began the assignment by creating a professional development unit that focused on self-awareness and we used Gagne's 9 events of instruction to plan our lesson. We then took what we created and turned it into a presentation that provided the learners with the lesson content, along with instructional activities. At the end of the course, our learners had the opportunity to provide the instructors with feedback on the course to tell us what they thought was good and things that they thought could use improvements.
