Even though many students’ after school hours are already filled with extracurricular activities, I have established and coordinated different math clubs over the years. My first and second year, we had a tutoring program with parent volunteers and a rotating teaching schedule. This year, I worked with Leading Edge teachers to form our PFAA’s first Math Olympiad club. Despite the club’s infancy, I invited a senior in as an assistant mentor for his Senior Project. Since I teach both the middle school and high school PFAA students, I strive to be a part of both communities and bring the two together when possible.
