These pictures were taken during the winter camp held from January 23-24, 26-27, 29-30, and February 01-02, 2024. The camp was divided into four batches, each with two half-day, 3-hour morning sessions. I am incredibly happy that I had the chance and opportunity to introduce my home country, the Philippines, to the students. It was both an honor and a privilege for me because I am proud to represent 120 million Filipinos.
During the camp, I showcased the beauty and richness of the Philippines. I highlighted our famous tourist spots, giving them a glimpse of the breathtaking landscapes and vibrant cities. I introduced them to our delicious food and diverse cuisines, sharing the flavors that make Filipino cuisine unique and beloved. I also spoke about our talented local artists, emphasizing the creativity and artistry that thrive in our culture. Additionally, I introduced them to our traditional games, which are not only fun but also a significant part of our cultural heritage.
Overall, I truly enjoyed my class with them. Sharing my culture and heritage with the students was a rewarding experience, and I hope they enjoyed the sessions as much as I did. It was a wonderful opportunity to bridge cultures and create a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Philippines.
