Arriving in Taiwan on January 3rd, 2024, marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter in my life. The very next day, I started reporting to my school, eager to embark on this long-awaited adventure. Stepping into the vibrant and dynamic environment of a Taiwanese school was both exhilarating and slightly nerve-wracking, but the warmth and hospitality of my new colleagues and students quickly made me feel at home.

Teaching abroad has been a dream of mine since my college days. I vividly remember sitting in lecture halls, imagining what it would be like to share my passion for education in a foreign land. The idea of experiencing different cultures, learning new languages, and broadening my horizons always fascinated me. Now, standing in a classroom in Taiwan, I realized that those dreams were no longer just fantasies—they were my reality.

What makes this experience even more special is the proximity to my home country, the Philippines. Just a two-hour flight away, Taiwan offers the perfect blend of familiarity and adventure. I am close enough to my roots while immersing myself in a new and enriching cultural landscape. This journey has not only fulfilled my professional aspirations but has also enriched my personal growth in ways I never imagined. Taiwan has truly become a dream come true.
