Teaching Grade 8 students at Hemei Senior High School has been a rewarding experience. Handling 11 out of 12 sections, I have had the privilege of guiding these students through "Exploring the World from Hemei." This class not only focuses on English as a medium but also delves into various cultures worldwide.
Each week, I spend 45 minutes with each class, exploring topics such as international dishes, famous figures, and global sports. It's a unique opportunity to enhance their English skills while broadening their cultural understanding. I see it as a dual-purpose class, where I can effectively teach English and expose them to diverse cultures simultaneously.
As the school year progresses, I realize that my time with these students is limited. Next school year, they will move on to Grade 9, and I won't be their teacher anymore. While it's bittersweet to think about parting ways, I am also excited for them to continue growing and learning in their next grade level.
Being part of their journey has been incredibly fulfilling, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be their teacher. Each class is a chance to inspire and empower these young minds, and I look forward to the continued growth and learning that lies ahead for all of us.
