The following week, we had our first meeting with the principal, Sir John; the School Director, Sir Jonathan; the Academic Head, Ma’am Sky; and two of my co-teachers, Teacher Ellen and Teacher Betty. This meeting was crucial in laying the foundation for my role as a foreign English teacher at the school. During our discussion, we covered my roles, duties, and responsibilities, ensuring I had a clear understanding of what was expected of me. They also took the time to remind me of the school's rules and regulations, which was very helpful in ensuring I adhere to the school's standards and policies.
We also delved into the specifics of my schedule, classes, and workload. This detailed discussion helped me feel more prepared and organized for the upcoming weeks. I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to the principal, Sir John, who is incredibly kind and gentle. His welcoming nature made me feel at home right away. Our school director, Sir Jonathan, deserves special mention for his hard work and dedication to the school’s success. His commitment is truly inspiring.
My academic head, Ma’am Sky, has been very hands-on and supportive, ensuring that I have all the resources and guidance I need to succeed in my role. Her proactive approach has been a great source of comfort and encouragement. I am also deeply appreciative of my co-teachers, Teacher Ellen, Teacher Betty, Teacher Jason, Teacher Aileen, Teacher Linda, and Teacher Sophie. They have been exceptionally supportive, understanding, and helpful from the very beginning. Their assistance and camaraderie have made my teaching experience much smoother and more enjoyable.
I am serious when I say I really appreciate them a lot! Their kindness and support have made a significant difference in my transition, and I am genuinely grateful for everything they have done to help me. I really thank them for making my teaching journey here a positive and fulfilling experience. 😊
