I was delighted to be invited to have a cooking session with the TLE teachers, where I taught them how to cook our famous Filipino dish – Sinigang. It was a thrilling opportunity to share a taste of Filipino food with them and introduce them to our culinary culture.
The cooking session was not just about preparing a meal; it was also a cultural exchange. I explained the significance of Sinigang in Filipino cuisine and shared some stories about its origins and variations. It was a joy to see the TLE teachers immerse themselves in the cooking process, eager to learn and try something new.
The session was filled with laughter and camaraderie as we worked together to create a delicious meal. It was a memorable experience for me, and I hope it was equally enjoyable for the TLE teachers. Cooking Sinigang with them was not just about sharing a recipe; it was about fostering cultural understanding and appreciation.
