Empathy is being able to understand what other people feel, see things from their point of view, and imagine yourself in their place. Today (and every day) try to put yourself in someone else's position and feel what they must be feeling.
The library displays are filled with fabulous books , with fabulous stories and characters.
The Empathy Day Festival runs from 4-11 June 2026 with a fabulous line up of the nation’s favourite children’s authors. We are getting involved, with lots of activities planned during library lessons.
Reading broadens your perspective and especially reading about characters who have a POV different than your own and it can foster our well-being and resilience too. Find out more here.
