Primary Reading Project
For session 2026 - 27, S3 pupils have volunteered for this reading project with our five primary schools:
Bishopmill/East End/St Sylvester's/Seafield/West End.
They will support primary pupils in our local community and help to develop their motivation and confidence and love of reading. They will make new friendships and enjoy being a part of a team while developing their own volunteering and leadership skills.

This was the final week in this block of visits to Seafield Primary School. All have had a great time reading and sharing stories with each other.

The Seafield Primary P4s- P6s were incredibly excited about the S3s' arrival. All are enjoying these meetings and this was another excellent reading session in the primary school library.
With a mix of picture books, novels and non-fiction, there were plenty of books to go round!

The group has visited all of our primary schools since last August and shared lots of stories and the joy of reading with so many enthusiastic primary pupils.
Huge thanks to the pupil superstars for all their work on this project: Phoebe Devine, Ben Rankin, Anna Reid, Faith Shute and Kaia Warr.
The project will resume in the new academic session with our new senior cohort.
