Alice in World Book Day Wonderland lunchtime events in the library and staffroom:
Pupils and staff were invited to Accessorise with Alice and her friends: wear an accessory or dress as a character from the book on the day and/or during the lunchtime events.
The Wonderland Pupil Event was in the library during lunchtime, with an exciting array of events, activities, puzzles and fun. Including meeting Alice and hearing about her adventures.
The Staff Afternoon Tea Party was in the staffroom.
Reading across school during our Drop Everything and Read event meant time to relax, revive and Read!
A bell rang and S1 – S3 pupils and staff were encouraged to enjoy their personal reading for 15 minutes.
Reading for pleasure isn’t just about fun. It is also a huge indicator of a child's future success in life.
That’s why World Book Day is so important and why we are joining the cause and celebrating books.
What is more fun-damental than reading?
