Everyone loved our January book: Boy Swallows Universe by Trent Dalton. A couple in the group were not too sure to begin with, but soon changed minds and relished it all.
What a lovely final meeting of term for the Staff Book Group.
Miss Wignall in the Maths department said: It was a slower pace, but still very engaging. I found the characters had an excellent level of depth, allowing me to really connect with them. It was a read I found very enjoyable and easy to finish.

There was a big fan base for Elif Shafak and everyone loved her book. In this meeting, there was good book chat as always and lots of interesting thoughts and opinions.

It was exciting to be discussing this absolute cracker: the stunning Yoto Carnegies 23 winner ! All loved the writing and there was lot sof discussion about the characters; the mutated animals, the driving towards a nuclear power station and... were Dylan and his mum unreliable narrators? But, decided they were, indeed, reliable. All agreed: powerful and memorable.
