National Poetry Day was on Thursday 2 October and is a UK-wide celebration of poetry. We joined in with the celebrations, with a variety of activities and events:

Mr Hay read a poem by EE Cummimgs:" i thank You God for most this amazing” during the Library Poetry Picnic. 👏 There were so many questions for him afterwards from Team EA pupils.

We enjoyed all the creativity, imagination and ideas from Team EA staff here.
Play with Poetry and celebrate all things playful. Poetry is nothing if not playful, because rooted in the imagination, poetry is simply playing with words.
The poems were judged by the Advanced Higher English class.
The winner was announced on National Poetry Day: 2 October.
