As you probably remember, at the end of every year, we have Talent Day in music class. Even though we are not in our building, I would still like to continue our tradition.

Everybody has a talent—now here’s a day to share your talent with your class. If you like singing, dancing, playing an instrument, OR...telling jokes, juggling, showing your skills at a sport, OR…if you don’t really like to perform, but your talent is building things, painting, sculpting, writing stories or poems, this day is for you!

Talent Day is optional. If you’d like to participate, click here for more information. All acts must be submitted by Friday, May 8 at 12:00noon.

We miss our Daily Announcements and Pledge of Allegiance.

We are looking for family volunteers that are comfortable and willing to share a video!

Videos must be less than two minutes and include:

* Optional First name only or a hello

* The Pledge of Allegiance -

* Representation of the flag - please be creative.

This may be a visual laptop/phone picture or drawing.

* Optional - You may include a positive message or quote for the day.

In these unprecedented times, we want you to know that our primary focus is on the safety and security of our students and staff. If there are things we can do to support your family, reach out. Remote learning is about keeping our students connected and providing some continuity of learning. Feedback is our focus, not grades. We know that each family situation is unique and that everyone is doing all they can to participate in the ways that work for their family. We also know that people are curious about how this will look on a report card. Our elementary students at each grade level will get one of the following indicators in reading, writing, and math: exceeds expectations, meets expectations, or needs improvement. There will be no final grades for science, social studies, spelling, art, PE, or music. We are grateful for the support you are providing, and we understand that this is not easy. Please know that grades are not anyone’s primary focus in these times.
