This is a picture of the 3-D art that I made. The hardest part of making this art project was making the wave.  The character is surfing a wave. This shows that even in the harsh weather you can have fun and do something.

Artist statement: My story is about a flood that came through Durango about 3 years ago.  I was once told a story about a flood and it inspired me to make this art. The random character Ava is surfing the flood water from the rain. The main message of the art piece is to tell people that you can have fun, even in the worst of weather. The art is made out of paper and hot glue. It was hard to get the hot glue to stick to the paper. 

Overall this went very well. If I were to do this again, I would make the waves more realistic. This is one of the best pieces of artwork I have ever made. I really like making 3-D art. Now I am inspired to do more in the future. I have never been the best at art but I am trying hard this year to get better. This is my first time trying 3-D art and I love it. There are many different kinds of art and this was by far the hardest one I have made. In the end it was all worth it.   

In this project I painted my Eco rejoin. It took around 4 weeks to make this. I am super proud how this turned out. I feel like I could have refined this project a little more, to make it a little more realistic.
