Goal Reflection: I have very well completed my goal. For example I have been going to study hall 2 times a week to get my Aleks done and my other homework done so that I don't have to do it at home.
Respect is the ability to recognize and appreciate the rights, beliefs, and differences of other people.
At the beginning of the year, I demonstrated respect by respecting people's boundaries. When people set a boundary it tells the other person that they don't like talking about a certain subject. At recess I set a boundary with a person. They told me to do a dare. I knew that that dare was inappropriate. So I told them, No. Boundaries have helped me get closer with friends. Now I know what my friends' boundaries are, and they know mine. I understood respect to mean listening to people's words and what they have to say. This makes them trust me so that they can do the same to me. I try to be polite and kind to teammates, and acknowledge and respect other perspectives.
Goal Reflection: I have completed this goal by talking with my peers in a nice way. I think that by doing this it will make others want to do the same.
Definition of Integrity- Integrity is doing the right thing when nobody is looking, even if there is no reward.
At the beginning of the year, I demonstrated integrity by taking responsibility and accountability for my actions. There are lots of rules at this school, and I have made it my responsibility to follow them. I understood integrity to mean being honest and doing the right thing even if there is no reward. By the end of this year, and even into the summer I would like to be constantly improving my integrity.
Goal Reflection: I have failed a lot in my life and this year I have learned to use it as an opportunity for growth.
Definition of Effort: Effort is doing the most work that you can and being determined for things that may be challenging
At the beginning of the year, I demonstrated effort by actively learning. I have learned how to stay engaged in my learning, by listening to my teachers and classmates. I understood effort to mean constantly striving to get better. Throughout the school year I have learned multiple different ways to show effort and will continue to use them up until I am an adult.
Goal Reflection: I have accomplished my goal by going to study hall and working on refining my work so that I don't have to do it at home.
Definition of Refinement: Refinement is constantly focusing to make our work one step better even if it's already good, I can always improve.
At the beginning of the year, I demonstrated refinement by constantly improving my work, and slowly finding ways to get better. I understood refinement to mean working hard and constantly improving my work until it is just the way I want it to be. By the end of this year, I would like to see my grades and see how I can improve.
Confidence is the 6th grade lens. My definition of confidence is being yourself and not letting anyone else tell you otherwise.
