My goal for ELA... My goal for ELA is to work on my reading comprehension. By doing this I will understand more about the book. This will also help my vocabulary by reading different books.
After reading Two Roads, I created an infographic about what someone should expect when going to Challagi Boarding School.
We made a podcast about the book we have been reading in class. How we made the podcast is we made a script on a google doc. Brigham is the author and I am the host. You will hear the podcast now.
One thing that I could do better is refining my work more.
In Humanities we are researching the first people in the Southeast. We will eventually build a model of their homes.
Summary of what we did
At Chaco We went camping and even went on a couple of hikes to learn about the history of how the olden days people lived.
I learned that they lived there like 10,000 years ago. Another thing that I learned was that they liked painting on the rocks. We went on 3 different hikes and I think that Pueblo Bonito was my favorite because we got to walk around all of the different rooms.
What was the learning Target: I understand how some of the first people to live in the southeast adapted to their climates and geography.
I studied the southeast
I met the standards by making eye contact and talking clearly.
I got 3 meets and 1 exceeds.
One thing that I could do better is Making the project look more clean. For example duct tape and glue are covered with building materials.
The learning target: I can right and perform a skit about the main reasons for the fall of the Mayan civilization. For this assignment we make a skit and then acted it out in front of our classmates. For my part I was acting like I was one of the Mayans and I died because the water had bad things in it, and wasn't filtered.
