This sample lesson outline illustrates how simulations are used to help students learn a phenomenon like gravity
Physics educators have been using simulations for years as a visualisation tool to engage students during lectures and tutorials. These are usually used as teachers' demonstrations. The e-book has made a huge leap forward as it integrates simulations into lecture notes and allows students to explore the simulations as they learn Physics concepts. Students who have keen interest in mathematical modelling could also make use of such features in the e-book. It caters to students of different abilities and interests as it allows them to deepen their learning in specific areas (e.g. modelling) if they wish to. Moving forward, the e-book can be a single platform which integrates ICT educational tools (e.g. videos, simulations, websites) with scientific concepts.
