Screencasting offers valuable opportunities for students to construct solutions for themselves through classroom talk and the use of think aloud strategies. The use of ICT (screencasts) in capturing students’ talk allows participation and increases engagement for everyone in the classroom, even for shy students! Students’ responses may also be used to stimulate further questions and are seen as building blocks to learning rather than as terminal points.
