This is a small pierid butterfly species found in Asia, Africa and Australia. They are found flying close to the ground and are found in open grass and scrub habitats.

The butterfly has two cell spots on the underside of the forwing. The forewing undersides lack the large brown apical spot found in the Forest Grass Yellow.
