This program focuses on the basic skills and knowledge foundations of the visual arts. We use the standards of learning from the state and nation as a basic platform for learning the fine arts. Our goals focus on completing projects that use these skills in the creative making process.

This program focuses on the basic skills and knowledge foundations of music. The daily objective of the course is to foster and promote musical growth through the playing of an instrument by the student. ... Band is a skilled effort in which each student is expected to show technical and musical growth throughout this course.



This program focuses on the basic skills and knowledge foundations of drama and speech. Students learn about acting, memorization techniques, play analysis, set design, costumes, roles and director expectations and gain public speaking skills.

This program overs computer concepts and internet skills, and uses a software suite which includes word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software to demonstrate skills.

This program covers principles of layout and design to create visual projects as well as multimedia projects. Students will create websites and explore legal and ethical design issues. Adobe and Microsoft software will be used.

Students in these classes will develop 30 “real-world” journalism and visual communication skills needed for yearbook production, including writing, reporting, photography, advertising, and design. As they progress through the three levels, yearbook responsibilities will be expanded and refined, and advanced students will serve as leaders and mentors. The courses will provide students with marketable skills upon graduation.


This program explores fundamental procedures of the accounting cycle for service businesses and merchandise businesses.Topics covered include invoicing, updating ledgers, examining profit loss and gains, understanding cash control systems, and implementing payroll and tax procedures.Business ethics and professional conduct are emphasized.

Students in this entry-level class focus on the rehearsal, performance, and study of high-quality music literature for singers of a similar voice range. As they address the technical needs of singers in a specific range of notes, they learn beginning music theory, musicianship, and choral performance skills.
