Teachers for Tomorrow

VA TEACHERS FOR TOMORROW PATHWAY

The Teachers for Tomorrow program is a 2-3 year program that prepares students to enter the workforce upon graduation and/or continue training through post-secondary education programs at the associate’s, baccalaureate, masters, or doctorial level. The Virginia Teachers for Tomorrow (VTfT) program fosters student interest, understanding, and appreciation of the teaching profession and allows secondary students to explore careers in education. Students will build a strong foundation for teaching, learn the history, structure, and governance of teaching; apply professional teaching techniques in the VTfT classroom; and reflect on their teaching experiences. Additional educational leadership opportunities are offered through the student organization, Educators Rising. During Level 2 students continue to explore careers in education as they research postsecondary options, learn about the process of teacher certification in Virginia, and participate in a practicum experience.
