Sometimes overlapping with the Admin Assistant, the Registrar role is the person(s) responsible for tracking all data related to student learning and accomplishment, particularly in Foundry. This includes things like:
Recognizing transfer credits from previous schools and translating them onto our checklists
Determining what phase a student will be in
Maintaining accurate competency and credit data in Foundry
Updating student phases in Foundry
Checking Transcripts for transfer students and IEP updates
Collecting Checklists and Transcripts for college applications
Credits are rarely 100% accurate in Foundry because we have not "back filled" old phase checklists, and the corresponding credits. When a student needs a credit transcript, we go in invidually and assign that credit, checking it against prior transcripts and phases completed. NOTE: Always use a "Transfer Project" as Advisor (not as Admin) when awarding transfer competencies and credits. Upload the transfer documentation (prior transcripts) as artifacts.
At the end of each term, teachers will have evaluated many projects and awarded credit with proficient (or higher) evaluations.
These proficient evaluations mean that students have earned credits, which need to be logged into Foundry. This video illustrates that process.
