Snow Session at Timberline Lodge
The required snow sessions will be held at Timberline (or another nearby location depending on weather and snow conditions). This is your chance to practice the snow related skills and begin working with your ice axe and crampons in the environment they were intended to be used in.

What to Bring
FOOD
Pack a lunch, plenty of snacks and water for the day. Warm beverages are recommended for cold days.
CLOTHING
In general, you will need the same kind of clothing you would take on a climb. Wool, fleece, polypropylene, or similar synthetic materials designed for cold, wet weather are best. NO COTTON! Be sure to monitor weather conditions to ensure you have appropriate clothing.

Mazamas Lodge
It is optional for students to stay at Mazamas Lodge. Please clean up after yourself and adhere guidelines requested by the Lodge Staff.
