Navigation at Mt. Tabor Park

Teams' navigation field sessions are typically held at Mt. Tabor Park, but your team leader may use an alternate location. In this field session, you'll learn use a map and your compass with a declination adjustment to find multiple points in a course. The goal is to understand how to read a map and how to use your compass to find your way around.

Navigation skills will also be practiced on your hikes to make sure you know how to read and use your map.
