This college-level course allows students to study human or cultural geography to become engaged in contemporary global issues, and more informed about multicultural viewpoints. Moreover students will:
Explore the main subfields of the discipline which are economic geography, cultural geography, political geography, and urban geography.
Use spatial, problem oriented methods and historical case studies to analyze the impacts of phenomena such as globalization, colonialism, and human–environment relationships on places, regions, cultural landscapes, and patterns of interaction.
The course will also prepare students to pass the Advanced Placement exam which can reward college credit
