Band

This course allows students to learn an instruments within the woodwind, brass, or percussion groups and play within a group. It also: 

• Promotes the enjoyment and appreciation of music through performance of high-quality, beginning wind and percussion literature from different times and places.

• Allows students to participate in rehearsals which focus on the development of critical listening/aural skills; rudimentary instrumental technique and skills, music literacy, and ensemble skills; and aesthetic musical awareness culminating in periodic public performances.
