Effective Monday, July 14, 2025 MATC faculty, staff and students will log into Blackboard using their MATC email address, password and now DUO.
Students new to online learning are encouraged complete the Online Readiness training module and to attend an online Blackboard orientation. Please also see the tasks below and click on each task to learn more about it. For general questions, contact Online Student Support by using our Contact Form. For login problems, please call the Help Desk at (414) 297-6541.
Once your college application is processed, you will receive a message at the email address that you included with your contact information. The message will contain your MATC network account username, password, and login instructions. Non-program students typically receive the message within 75 minutes or less. MATC students use their network accounts to access the myMATC Portal, MATC Gmail, Blackboard, Self-Service, and more.
If you do not remember your password or you experience a login problem, use the Online Password Manager or contact the Help Desk at 414-297-6541. Only the Help Desk can resolve login problems.
As soon as you receive your MATC network account, log into your MATC Gmail. This will be your primary means of communication with the college and faculty. When you are logged into your MATC Gmail, you may access free Google Apps to support your studies. See our Introduction to MATC Gmail to get started with sending messages and using Google Apps.
MATC uses the Rave Alert system to notify students in the event of an emergency and/or school closing. Log in with your MATC network account to update your desired contact methods.
If you are new to online learning, we strongly recommend viewing the self-paced Online Readiness module to learn about the tools, tasks, and strategies to start your studies strong. See these instructions for more information.
If you are unfamiliar with using computers or need to boost your skills, we recommend interacting with the simulations in WISC-Online's free Basic Computer Skills Course and the tutorials on our Basic Computer Skills page.
Because your course syllabus may not be available until the first day of class, we recommend visiting the MATC Bookstore website to see what books and supplies you may need for your classes.
Review the Blackboard Login Help Page. You will log into Blackboard with your MATC email address, password and DUO.
Before your classes begin, make sure that you are able to log into Blackboard. To resolve a login problem, contact the Help Desk at 414-297-6541 or use the Online Password Manager to reset your password.
Review the Blackboard Ultra Help Page to learn how to navigate Blackboard Ultra. If you are new to online learning, we strongly recommend attending a live Blackboard Orientation Webinar in the first few weeks of every semester.
Your course should appear within Blackboard and you should be able to log in at least one (1) week before the course's start-date.
While you are logged into Blackboard, go to the Courses page and check your Course List for current or upcoming courses. If you are missing a new course or see old courses, see:
Courses are initially marked as Private in Blackboard until the instructor makes them available to students by the course's official start date. If a course does not become available by its start date, contact your instructor directly! Instructor information can be found by reviewing your course information in Self Service.
The Student Blackboard Support Site is your source for how-to guides and troubleshooting tips. If you have questions about online learning, review the FAQ and use Contact Us Form.
Here at MATC, we want all students to succeed. Please review the following pages to prepare for your success.
