Effective Monday, July 14, 2025 MATC faculty, staff and students will log into Blackboard using their MATC email address, password and now DUO.
For assistance with a Blackboard login problem, contact the Help Desk at 414-297-6541 or send an email to helpdesk@matc.edu. Only the Help Desk can assist with a login problems.
Once your college application is processed, you will receive a message at the email address that you included with your contact information. The message contains your MATC network account username, password, and login instructions.
Your access to Blackboard is dependent upon you registering for at least one (1) course in Self-Service. Your access to Blackboard will begin at least 1 week prior to the start of your courses.
If you registered for a class today and the course begins today, it may take at least one (1) hour for your Blackboard login to become available.
You will log into Blackboard with your MATC email address, password and DUO.
You may access Blackboard with your MATC account in several ways. Use the path that is most convenient.
Route 1: Log into the MATC Portal and click on the Blackboard link. On the Blackboard home page, log in.
Route 2: In your browser's address bar, type this address: blackboard.matc.edu and push your keyboard's "enter" button. On the Blackboard home page, log in.
When you log into Blackboard Learn, a login session is created. The login session is what allows you to access courses uninterrupted. Your login session will continue to be active as long as you are actively accessing content, tools, and assessments.
If you are inactive for over three (3) hours, a Session-Timeout Warning will appear. Once the warning appears, you will have six (6) minutes before the system logs you out of Blackboard. If you close the warning message before the session ends, the session will extend for three (3) more hours.
Your MATC Network account's password will expire and must be changed every 180 days. You will receive an email at your MATC Gmail account warning you at 15 days, 5 days, and 3 days.
You may use the online Password Manager to change your password. If you set up your two security questions in the Password Manager, you may use it to retrieve or update your login credentials. Otherwise, please call the Help Desk at (414) 297-6541 for assistance.
If these steps did not work to reset your password, please call the Help Desk at 414-297-6541 for assistance. Only the Help Desk can resolve login problems.
In a web browser, such as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, go to the Online Password Manager at https://slpwm2.matc.edu/pwm/.
In the form that appears, click "Forgot Password".
In the field that appears, type your MATC email address. Then click "Continue".
If your account is recognized and you previously set up some identify verification steps, select an option from the list and click "Continue" with the identify verification step.
Once your identity is verified, a page for setting a new password will appear. Type the new password in the provided fields for "new password" and "confirm new password". Then, click "Reset Password".
You will see a confirmation that the password is reset. At this point you may try logging into MATC applications with the new password.
If you do not remember your email address or password information, go to the online Password Manager and use the "Forgotten Username" or "Forgotten Password" tools. You will need your 7-digit MATC ID number, as found on your Stormer Card or class schedule, to complete the retrieval process.
