Registering for Classes
MATC students may register for classes through an online tool called Self-Service or visit a campus Admission Center to register in person. Not an MATC student? Apply now or sign up to register and just take a class! If desired, you may search the course catalog without logging in.
Registration Requirements
Once you are admitted to the college, you will be sent an email with your unique MATC network account username and password. You will use these credentials to log into Self-Service. To register for classes, a student must:
Have a Photo ID to register in person at an Admissions Center.
Not have an outstanding debt with the college.
Have met class pre-requisite requirements, if applicable.
Registering Online through Self-Service
Follow these steps and view the above video demonstration.
Navigate to the Self-Service login page. Type your MATC username in the provided field and click “Continue”.
If you do not remember your username, click on the Forgot Your Username link on this page. Your username will be sent to the email account you used to apply for admission.
You will be taken to an MATC login form. Enter your MATC email address and password, then click “Sign In”.
Your default password is Fa21$MMDD where MMDD is the month and day of your birth date. For example, August 3rd will be 'Fa21$0803' AND November 28 will be 'Fa21$1128'.
If you are successful, you will see the Self-Service “Welcome” page. Click “Student Planning” to search and add classes to your schedule.
To search for sections, use the Search tool.
To add a section to your schedule, click the section’s “Add Section to Schedule” button.
IMPORTANT - Once you have added classes to your schedule, return to the “Student Planning” page and click the “Register” button for your planned sections. A Registered confirmation message on the screen indicates that you are successfully registered. Your enrollments will go to Blackboard automatically within a couple of hours after registration.
In the Self-Service menu, click "Student Finance" to review and complete payment.
