Academic Support Centers

MATC offers 8 unique Academic Support Centers. Each center is staffed with people who can help you achieve your academic goals. Please see the Academic Support Center webpage for hours and locations. When planning to visit an Academic Support Center, please make sure you bring your MATC Stormer Pass and review the library's Printing Guide if you need to make copies or print documents.

Advising Services

MATC provides personal, academic, and career counseling services to students. Regularly consulting with an advisor will help you plan your studies and stay on track to meet your goals. For more information, review the Academic Advising page or send an email to advising@matc.edu.

Tutoring Services

Tutoring Services exists to help MATC students succeed academically through specialized support. Free services for students include:

• Walk-in Tutoring, available in the Academic Support Centers.

• Supplemental Instruction, tutoring in groups that meet several times per week, with optional attendance;

• Structured Learning Assistance, which is tutoring required for a class, typically offered with introductory courses;

• NetTutor, which is online tutoring available 24/7/365; and

• the Online Writing Lab (OWL), which helps students with writing for any class or subject.

Student Accommodation Services

The Student Accommodation Services Department ensures that students with disabilities receive equal access opportunities to all MATC programs, courses, and services according to section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, which protects students with disabilities from discrimination and assures full access to the college.
