MATC will end support for Collaborate Ultra after July 1, 2026. Please reach out to instuctors on available web conferencing tools to use per course.
MATC has purchased a site license to the YuJa Video Platform to provide faculty and students a tool for recording and sharing videos as a part of coursework. If your instructor allows it, you may record screencast videos or webcam videos with these tools. You may submit videos to assignments, discussions, and journals in Blackboard.
See the YuJa Help Center to view helpful tutorials and FAQs. To report a technical problem, contact support@yuja.com or call 1-888-257-2278. For questions about basic tasks, contact onlinelearning@matc.edu.
For an overview of the YuJa platform, see the Student Guide and the video playlist. See the sections down the page for tips to get started.
Option 1 - Quick Access within Blackboard Assignments or Discussions - When beginning an assignment or discussion post, click the plus button in the text editor, select Content Market, and choose YuJa Video Chooser. Here, you can upload a video and seamlessly embed it into the text editor.
Option 2 - Yuja Mobile App - Download the app to your Apple or Android device and log in with your MATC email address and password. This is useful when you want to record video from your device.
Your instructor will share videos with you by embedding them within content in Blackboard or by sharing links to videos. Simply click on a video to play it. Closed captions are available through the toggle in the playbar.
Install the YuJa app on a mobile device to make recordings. Any recording made through the YuJa app will save a local copy in your device's Gallery app as well as upload to your YuJa media library! Once a video is in your YuJa library, you can submit it to assessments in your course.
YuJa may send automated email notifications to users at their MATC email address. To customize your YuJa notification preferences, access YuJa and view your My Account settings. See this demonstration to learn more.
See these instructions and the following video to submit a YuJa Video to an assessment in Blackboard Ultra.
