Work Health and Safety in the Construction Industry
Interpret workshop and construction plans
Safe use of hand and power tools in the development and production of projects
Applications of hardwoods, softwoods, manufactured boards and recycled materials.
Fixtures and fittings from a range of materials
Set out construction formwork for concrete, eg. for pavers, stepping stones
Techniques for the construction of walls and fences
Elementary repairs and renovations.

Students will be learning through practical experiences with industry standard tools, machines and materials. Students will work individually or as a team to construct outdoor and indoor projects with each unit being completed with a Learning Portfolio.
