Central idea: Identity and thinking can be influenced through the media.

Over the last few weeks, we have dived head first into our new central idea, where our core focus has been on the media. We have been exploring the different media types available and have established what the media is (a key form of mass communication). Moving on from this, we have then considered the purpose of the media and why we have it: to educate, to inform and to inspire are but a few ways. Building on this knowledge, it'll mean in future weeks we will be able to consider how the media shapes the way we view both ourselves and others, especially as we relate it to our class text (pig-heart boy). Inspired by this text, we have been exploring the circulatory system and heart within science - do ask us about how these key components of our body work!
