SAFETY DRILLS IN SCHOOL
FIRE DRILLS
Monthly fire drills during the school year are required by law.
A fire evacuation plan is posted in each room.
Students should study the plan and become familiar with it.
When the fire alarm sounds, students will evacuate the building following the prescribed route.
Running is not permitted.
The first student to reach an outside door is to hold it open until all have left the building.
Students are to remain at least 50 feet away from the building until the signal is given to re-enter.
