CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Students are encouraged to participate in the numerous co-curricular activities provided at Prairie River Middle School.
Current After School Clubs Include:
Musical Productions (may be with MHS students)
Forensics
Ski Club
Yearbook
ATHLETIC OPPORTUNITIES
There are several competitive athletic opportunities offered to students in Grades 6-8 in the Fall, Winter, and Spring.
Prior to participation in athletic activities, the student must:
Turn in physical or alternate year card signed by parent
Turn in emergency card signed by parent
Turn in Athletic Pledge signed by parent
Turn in concussion form signed by parent
Turn in WIAA eligibility form signed by parent
Reminders for Success and Fun for all:
Students and parents are reminded to read the "Athletic Code" .
Student athletes must have no failing quarter grades in the most recent grade reporting period (quarter grades) or academic evaluation period in order to be eligible.
Students who have after-school detention must serve the detention prior to participating in the activity.
Students who are suspended are ineligible to participate in all school activities during the time of suspension.
Students who are absent are unable to participate in the activity during the day of the absence unless approval has been granted by the building principal.
During after-school activities students are to refrain from excessive noise and boisterous behavior.
Students participating in a school-related activity are to be under the supervision of an adult, coach, or advisor at all times.
When transportation (bus, van) to school activities is provided, students must use that form of transportation unless a parent provides transportation with prior written approval by the principal, associate principals, or activities director.
All applicable Prairie River Middle School,MAPS, WSMA, WHSFA, and WIAA policies and regulations are to be followed in co-curricular activities.
