LOCKERS
Each student is assigned a locker, which is the property of Merrill Area Public Schools.
At no time does the Merrill Area Public School district relinquish its exclusive control of lockers provided for the convenience of students.
Periodic general inspection of lockers may be conducted by school authorities for any reason at any time without student consent and without a search warrant.
Students MUST:
• use only the locker assigned to them
• keep locker locked at all times
• keep locker clean and free of food items
• keep combination to themselves
• report any locker malfunction, defacement or damage to the office
• refrain from tampering with other lockers
CLEANLINESS
Students are expected to do their part to keep the building clean.
All discarded paper and trash in the lockers, hallways, bathrooms, and classrooms should be appropriately recycled or disposed of.
Students should refrain from intentionally making black skid marks on floors with their shoes.
DISTRIBUTING AND/OR DISPLAYING MATERIALS
Permission of administration is required before students may distribute or display any material from sources outside the school.
Teachers/advisors may approve in-school materials for display.
BICYCLES, SCOOTERS, ROLLERBLADES/SHOES & SKATEBOARDS
Students may ride bicycles, scooters, rollerblades, roller shoes, or skateboards to school.
Bicycles must be parked in the bike racks and locked when not in use.
Scooters, rollerblades, and skateboards must be carried on school property and stored in the Main Office during the school day.
For safety reasons, these items should not be ridden on school property and sidewalks.
The wheels of roller shoes should be in the retractable position inside the shoe.
