Mechanism of actions:

Vinblastine is a vinca alkaloid antineoplastic agent.

It binds to tubulin, a protein involved in forming microtubules.

By inhibiting microtubule formation, vinblastine disrupts the assembly of the mitotic spindle.

The mitotic spindle is crucial for aligning chromosomes and separating them during cell division.

As a result, vinblastine arrests the cell at metaphase, preventing further progression through the cell cycle.
