As you know we have been learning all about the Stone Age era. Today Year 3, researched different images of cave drawing, they tried to conclude what each image meant. They then created their own! Keep your eyes peeled out for our final piece!
This week, Year 3 had lots of fun in Science. They have been learning all about the topic 'Animals Including Humans'. In this week's lesson they learnt about all about our skeleton - how many bones we have, how our bodies are make up and the names of each bone.
This week is anti-bullying week! To kick this week off we all came together to wear odd sock. To celebrate all of our differences. We learnt about what bullying means and how to always speak out against bullying.
As you saw previously we have been learning about Edward Tinga Tinga and his incredible art. This week we used a variety of resources to produce our own Tinga Tinga artwork.
This week we had a very important visitor from 'Portals from the Past'. Gary took the children on adventures through the past! The children were stunned, shocked and in awe of this incredible experience.
This week Year 3 have been working really hard in Art! As you know we have been learning all about Africa, well this week we learnt about an incredible artist called Edward Tinga Tinga. He has created some exceptional pieces of unique art that is recognised all over the world!

Over the course of this half-term Year 3 have been reading 'The Incredible Book Eating Boy' in English. The children have throughly enjoyed it! Have a look at some of their writing!

In Music this term children began by understanding their bodies and understanding how to use their bodies to make different sounds and noises.
Year 3 have been super busy over the past couple of weeks! As many of you know, the children have been learning to swim! Everyday they have trekked to the London Aquatics Centre in Stratford. They have perservered and have worked really hard, most children are now able to swim confidently!
This week we looked at our favourite books to read, we discussed who our favourite authors are and what we like about the stories. Soon we are going to carry out profiles on our favourite authors.
To kick the year off we when straight in with Maths! We learnt all about the values of numbers in a three digit and two digit numbers. We used lots of resources to help us visualise and understand different numbers!
