LO: To o learn more about a bakery and the job of a baker.
This week in Year 2 we bought a high street bakery experience to our class. Children had the opportunity to taste different bakery items such as croissants, banana loaf, cheese rolls and flat breads. Children described the texture, smell and taste of each bakery item. Next week children will go ahead and write a description of the bakery experience.

L.O: To explore the histroy of transport in London
As part of our learning for our curriculum unit ‘Making and Environmental Impact’ Year 2 went on a visit to the London Transport Museum to learn about the evolution of transport in London. They were able to explore how the different transport methods have changed overtime and how this change has been impacting the environment over time. We even saw Bumble Bee from the Transformers. Who knows what the future of transport holds.

A trip to the beach
As part of our Manor Memories and end of Key Stage 1 celebration Year 2 had a visit to Chalkwell Beach. Children had lots of fun paddling in the water, building sand castles and just splashing around. There's not much else to say here so have a look at the pictures and see the fun that was had for yourselves.
