Hazardous Materials MANAGEMENT

All MacEwan programs using biohazardous or chemical hazardous material must record that information in Hazardous Materials Inventory System (H-MIS). Please see the table below to access the MacEwan H-MIS system and use the Access H-MIS for employees guide which provides instruction on adding, modifying and deleting chemicals.

The transfer and/or receipt of hazardous (biological, chemical) materials is governed by the federally regulated Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Act and must be arranged with a TDG certified carrier. All individuals who are involved in packaging, transfer, and/or receipt of hazardous materials at MacEwan must have valid TDG certification.
